and now i'm out of clothespins
problem: artist wants an inspiration board that covers much of the wall. artist lives in apartment with pristine walls and is certain she will ruin them attaching a wall-sized cork board.
solution: ikea hultet drape. i thought i might not like that it looks a little like wicker (my least favorite material), but the softness and the overall effect of thousands of circles turns out to be really fantastic.

Brilliant! I am going to use that idea to inspire something like it for my room. My walls are red, but they already have holes and junk in them that I'd like to cover up with things I like to see. Good one!

thanks, luna! nice to "hear" from you.
12.99! get one; you'll be stoked. and if you're into more color, they also have bright red plastic clothes pins for 2 bucks a pack.
I was linked from IKEA Hacker...this is such a great idea! What a fantastic way to cover up those large wall spaces that might go otherwise unused. It looks like it adds great texture and interest, in addition to being an extremely handy place to hang things. And less holes in the wall always makes me happy.
Great idea! You can find tiny multi-colored clothespins at craft stores for some variety, but they can only hold little stuff.
Oh, and I came here to get a better look from IKEA Hacker too!
I love this idea! I will do the same tomorrow!
Hello! I came here through cutoutandkeep, which led me to Ikea Hacker. haha.
I was just wondering...maybe i didnt read careful enough, but...what are the circley thingies made of and how did you glue them together? Looks like it was a rather time-consuming task :)

Those are wicker circles, and she bought her HULTET curtain/room divider at IKEA which is why it was linked from IKEAHacker.
