I'm sure Martha screwed up a few treasured decor ideas for the holiday along the way, too.

I had already let go of the flower tree making an appearance in 07, since the floral tubes I ordered didn't arrive at all before I left for Oregon. The box was waiting for me when I returned, and it turns out I am not very good at reading the fine print. the floral tubes are GINORMOUS. I could never have hidden FIFTY of them in my little tree. and they would have made even the largest lillies look sillies. Anybody need gigantic floral tubes? I have a few ideas for alternative ways to use them, but not fifty.


secretly (until now), i dream of having a big warehouse full of supplies and tools to make whatever invention occurs to me on a whim. today i would have a fabulous wood drill that would produce a long row of holes just large enough for my tubes to nestle. this might be the same drill that could produce a hole long enough to go through the center of antique table legs. but that is another story...
