Quantity in basket: zero

You can't track down the price online, so for all of you who fell in love with PXL Pendant Lamp by Zero, I made the phone call: $997 + shipping + approximately 5 weeks. the table lamp is $1076. *weeps*
i admit without shame that i am trying to figure out how i can justify this extravagance. it would just look so! good! in the kitchen. in my next breath i am trying to figure out how i can make one myself. even funnier!
but hello? could there be a better lamp for these dishes?

You could totally make pendant lights out of your bowls and cups
my heart skipped a beat when i first saw this come out last year. and it would be so perfect in your kitchen. i've taken some lighting design classes and made a couple hanging lamps of my own so this isn't quite as impossible as you might think. in fact it might be just the type of project i'd like to take on. wanna give it a go?
um, sure! teri recommends tap plastics. the original is metal, but i can see plastic working out well for the novice...
i like mom's idea, too! what kind of tool could we use to bore a hole through ceramic? where's my warehouse!
A ceramic drill bit. some testing first probably. It is the heat that cracks it if it is going to
