I'm intrigued watching what has come to life in the soil that was formerly positively dominated by an overgrowth of night jasmine and shrubs. I think this is a weed, but it's definitely the cutest one I've seed so far.

I started this blog for my mom so she can see what I'm up to in San Francisco. I'm going to keep it full of the kinds of mundane things mothers like to know. Of course, all of you who are not my mom are also welcome.

It is a weed. I think it's chicka-something, I can't remember the name but it's quite a lovely weed. We leave most of ours in the yard...too cute to rip out!
seth really likes the ones with yellow flowers... i guess they spread a bunch if you try to pull them out, but they also die back when it gets warm? i don't so much like them, but these chicka-somethings can stay!
